General information
When you visit our website, various data is processed in order to analyze and improve the use of our information offer and to be able to identify and eliminate possible weaknesses.
Server log files
When you visit our website, information is collected and stored in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are Browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL (original website from which the user came to our website or file), host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and the IP address.
This data is processed on the servers of our Internet service provider. This data is not merged with other data sources. This processing activity is not the basis for automated decision-making (profiling). We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use.
The legal basis for data processing is our legitimate interest after weighing up all risks (see Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Our interest here is: publicizing our company to the public, advertising on our own behalf, providing information about our range of services and supporting the initiation of business contacts by publishing suitable contact options for interested parties and business partners, improving the user-friendliness of our information offering.
The storage period is one year.
SSL and TLS encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Cookies
Some of the Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies are used to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies to analyze your surfing behavior) are stored, these are treated separately in this privacy policy.

We use Matomo (formerly: "PIWIK") on our website. This is an open source software with which we can analyze the use of our website. Rapidmail
Description and scope of data processing
We use rapidmail, among others, to send newsletters. The provider is rapidmail GmbH, Augustinerplatz 2, 79098 Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. This service is used to organize and analyse the sending of newsletters. Data entered by users to receive the newsletter - such as an e-mail address - is stored on rapidmail's servers. The provider's servers are located in Germany and Ireland.
Legal basis for the processing of personal data
Data processing is carried out on the basis of consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
Purpose of the data processing
Sending newsletters with rapidmail makes it possible to analyze the behavior of newsletter recipients. The analysis shows, among other things, how many recipients have opened a newsletter and how often they have interacted with links in the newsletter. rapidmail supports conversion tracking in order to analyze whether a previously defined action, such as a product purchase, has taken place after clicking on a link.
Possibility of objection and removal
Consent that has already been given can be withdrawn at any time. An informal notification by e-mail or by using the unsubscribe function in the newsletter is sufficient for revocation. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation. If users do not wish to be analyzed by rapidmail, they must unsubscribe from the newsletter. To unsubscribe, an informal notification by email or by using the unsubscribe function in the newsletter is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
Duration of storage
Data entered to set up the newsletter subscription will be deleted from our servers and the servers of rapidmail if you unsubscribe. If data has been transmitted for other purposes and elsewhere, it will remain with the company. Details on the data protection provisions of rapidmail: https: //www.rapidmail.de/datenschutz.
SAiNT
Our website uses widgets from the SAiNT open data platform to provide interactive content and functions. When the widget is loaded, content is loaded and displayed directly from saint.tech.
This involves a statistical, non-personal evaluation of the use of the widget exclusively on the servers of SAiNT. No personal data is transmitted to SAiNT. The widget sets technically necessary session cookies and uses session storage to temporarily store user settings. No further storage or processing of personal data takes place.
The widget contains map material from Mapbox. The provider Mapbox processes data as part of an order processing contract with SAiNT in compliance with the EU standard contractual clauses (SCCs).
If the user actively agrees to access their location via the browser, the location is used for personalized search results and travel recommendations. The location query is made directly via the browser and can be refused or revoked at any time. The current weather at the location can also be taken into account for the calculation of location-based recommendations. No personal data is transmitted to the weather service provider, as all requests are sent via a proxy server.
Further information on SAiNT's privacy policy can be found at: saint.tech/datenschutz.
OpenStreetMap
We use maps from the OpenStreetMap (OSM) service on our website to display geographical information visually. The provider is the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom.

OpenStreetMap is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers and to make it easy to find the places we have indicated on the website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
If you do not agree with the data processing by OpenStreetMap, you can deactivate JavaScript in your browser. In this case, however, the map display will not work.
Further information on data processing can be found in OpenStreetMap's privacy policy at: https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy
